How to Care for a Fresh Bouquet
A beautiful bouquet deserves a little daily care. A clean vase, fresh water, and a suitable spot are a great start.
Start with a Clean Vase
Thoroughly wash the vase and fill it with fresh water. Remove any leaves that would be below the waterline. If your bouquet came with flower food, use it according to the instructions on the package.
Trim the Stems
Before placing the flowers in the vase, refresh the cut on the stems with a clean, sharp tool. Handle the flowers gently and follow florist advice for individual flower types.
Choose the Right Location
Place the bouquet away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources. Avoid placing it close to a bowl of ripening fruit.
Give It a Little Attention Each Day
